Don’t Be Afraid of Failure - Use it to Attain Success:
When you keep
failing in your tests, exams, or life, a fear of failure is developed which
directly affects your confidence. Don’t be afraid of failure but use it to attain
success. How? Let’s see.
Failure is
usually a product of our mistakes and errors. When we try a new recipe, and add
a little creativity of our own, it is bound to fail on the first try. Why?
When you deviate
from a norm, and try to create a new path or recipe it will take time and lots
of tries to give a new product. Since you are creative you will develop your
own thing and it will be unique to you. Which will sell big time don't believe
me, see the life profiles of Walt Disney, and Oprah Winfrey, and yes don't forget about our sweet Albert
Einstein who once said,
“Failure is success in progress.”
Are you a Genius but a Failure?
Rich and famous
people now were losers in their lives at some point. There is no success
without failure. Creative people are the ones who face the most failures in
their lives and are under-appreciated, till they become successful, rich, or
famous.
So, if you are
one of those geniuses who like to do your own thing, keep doing it consistently
and improve and grow yourself. Don’t be afraid to hear remarks like “You are a
loser.” Those of us who don’t understand you will never appreciate you. Show us
your success and we will be your slaves literally.
My creative
geniuses! Do you dare to believe in yourself? If yes, success and confidence
will be at your doorstep in no time. But remember consistency is the key, why?
Be Consistent:
According to Thomas Edison people who gave up mid-way faces failure. Edison failed 2774 times before creating a working design of an
electric bulb. What if he had left his dream at 2773 attempt? Then someone else
would be the father of inventions today.
History and even
our current lives are filled with people who gave up halfway, who were
discouraged by someone, and who left their dreams behind. Some of us are still
living in "What ifs."
Don’t be one of
them and live your life without regrets. Try hard and try consistently for your
success. Be like Milton Hershey, founder of Hershey's Chocolate. He
worked at a local candy factory until he decided to open his own. But failure
punched him in the gut; he returned to his family farm despite two consecutive
failures and perfected his milk chocolate candy.
How to be consistent for success?
If you want to
be successful give it your time, effort, patience, and persistence.
Create a
schedule and break down your whole project or learning process into levels.
At the start,
set some easier-to-accomplish realistic goals, and reward yourself for
attaining them.
Make lots of
mistakes, but learn from each of them. Record your mistakes and their
counterattack.
Try to develop a
support system for you. There may be a genius person out there with the same
ideals or problems as you. Reach them, and ask for advice.
Be brave and
believe in yourself.
Working Hard but still a Failure?
Sometimes you
have worked hard for your tests, exams, or projects. You are following all instructions
and norms but still, you are failing it. Don't lose your heart, hard workers,
because no one can achieve success without dedication. You are not the only
ones who have it hard in life. Even geniuses have to work hard as well.
You have to "put up with rain" for success, says an American
singer Dolly Parton. My dedicated hard workers face the ups and downs of life
with positivity. They are making you stronger.
Remember at some
point in life a divorced, jobless, and lone parent J. K. Rowling had failed big time. But she kept
working hard for herself and her daughter. In Rowling's own words, "So
rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life." And
now we all know her as the author of the famous Harry Potter series, with a
ranking of 196th richest person in the UK. So, if she can do it we
can too.
But how can we fail
with hard work? It is not the lack of effort that causes the failure but the
lack of clear goals and strategy.
Be Strategic:
Working with
dedication leads to success but setting a goal and making intelligent choices
leads to quicker success. If you are failing an exam or project change your
style of studying/ working, preparing for an exam, and exam-taking strategy.
My hard workers
do you know, in the 1970s Toyota cars came into the USA and took over the market with a
storm. The US government implemented taxes on imported cars, but that did not
stop Toyota and they established their production line on US soil. So, what was
their strategy for success?
Toyota studied
their weaknesses and blended American strategy with theirs. Their success was
due to continuous improvements in operations, decisions, and goals.
How to be strategic to get success?
The first step
of being strategic is not to rush, be you and keep working hard.
Discover your
interests and values then set your goals. Make time to explore new ideas and
styles.
Set small goals
and focus on them, like you have to clean your house while studying, and a
part-time job. You will divide each room cleaning on days from Tuesday to
Friday (not Monday, since it's the most hectic one) and 2 rest days (that is
Saturday and Sunday).
Work hard on the
most rewarding task first, for your satisfaction. In the case of studying,
choose those who have the most marks in the exam.
Take help from
your seniors to understand exam styles, it will greatly help in its
preparation.
Conclusion:
In the end, I
will only suggest you build a growth mindset, change, grow, and learn through
your efforts whether you are a genius or hard worker. Believe that your efforts
matter even if they are a failure, they are making you strong. Learn new skills
to convert your mistakes into success. Keep trying and ignore those who
discourage you. You are brilliant!
